Go: notes and background exports

For an existing Go project, use the shorter Deploying Go guide. This tutorial builds a complete example step by step.

You will use Go 1.27.1 and build a web app named notes-web plus a worker named notes-worker in the examples Project’s go Environment.

The standard library serves HTTP. The database/sql drivers, MongoDB driver, Redis client, and AWS SDK implement the service integrations. The Procfile selects the web or worker mode of the same binary.

Complete Before you start, then follow these chapters in order:

  1. Create and deploy hello
  2. Persist notes in PostgreSQL
  3. Add a Redis export worker
  4. Save exports in object storage
  5. Try MariaDB or MongoDB instead
  6. Prepare for production, or troubleshoot and clean up
