Node.js and Express: notes and background exports

You will use Node.js 22 and build a web app named notes-web plus a worker named notes-worker in the examples Project’s nodejs Environment.

Express handles HTTP routes. The pg, mysql2, and MongoDB drivers implement the three persistence options; redis and the AWS S3 SDK handle jobs and files.

Complete Before you start, then follow these chapters in order:

  1. Create and deploy hello
  2. Persist notes in PostgreSQL
  3. Add a Redis export worker
  4. Save exports in object storage
  5. Try MariaDB or MongoDB instead
  6. Prepare for production, or troubleshoot and clean up
